So it has been a while...

Henri has been busy in the last year but hasn't been posting! In the past year Henri has participated in a 21st birthday party celebration, attended a graduation, drove all the way across the country, went to Cambridge, England, then to a wedding in North Carolina where he also celebrated St. Patrick's day. From there Henri went to Hawaii and then on a craaazy trip to India where he has chosen to stay for the near future.

He has a lot of catching up to do, and hopefully many stories to tell from all these adventures, but he wants everyone to know he is still going strong and exploring the world one trip at a time.

Wow, Asheville Rocks!

Hello All,

I made it to Asheville, North Carolina! Not to brag but I feel pretty lucky to be in such a beautiful city surrounded by mountains. Okay, well when I first arrived I was grumpy because I was crammed in a tiny box with my backpack and didn't have any food for several days, but I've been fed and allowed to stretch my legs so I'm feeling pretty darn good.

For Memorial Day weekend I went camping! I went with this girl named Jenn and a group of her friends to a spot in the Pisgah Forest and got to camp right next to a river.

Look I'm on the River!

They even let me set up the tent.

But the best part is we hiked just a short ways and got to see TWO waterfalls!

Other than running into a scary rattlesnake this camping trip was awesome. There are hiking spots and waterfalls all over this area of the Blue Ridge Mountains so I'm sure I'll get to see more. I can't wait to go on my next adventure!

That was one hell of a party!!!

So...after Jeremy's birthday party in France I pretty much disappeared. I'm not sure what happened, but by the looks of the pictures of tons of empty bottles, me riding a bottle of champagne, and me slumped over a coffee the next day, I'm preeeeety sure I can guess. WOW!

No worries, I am back and ready for more! I went back to the West Coast of the USA to Spokane, WA to help someone celebrate her 21st birthday, move out of a dorm, and then go to a graduation! It should all be very exciting.

I've also started up a Facebook page (Henri ZeHippo), so you should all come find me there to check out more pictures of my adventures around the world.

Keep looking for my next post and my next adventure!

Near to this relic, we could see a tipically Japanese temple !

When you visit Tokyo you have to take the metro, it's like in Paris because this city is really big !!

So, see you soon !!

Henri in Paris

Hi guys !
After my travel in the East of France in motorcycle with Nico, I'm with Adelyne to visit Japan !!
Adelyne works in France for Universal Music, ans she's very nice because she's let me try her job during one hour !!!
It's me trying to contact The Black Eyed Peas by mail

It's me on phone with U2

She ask me if I was ok to drink a beer in St Michel in Paris with Jeremy.
So I said Yes because I love to meet people, that's my favorite pleasure, after travelling, of course !
When we went to St Michel by foot, we saw the Panthéon! It's a beautiful place in Paris where many famous people are burried! That's why French people said "La place des grands Hommes" (the place of great people).

In this photo you can see the Panthéon "La place des Grands Hommes"

I love the Mc Ewans Beer !!

Nothing better than a good beer before a long travel !!

Motorcycle trip in France - Day 1

Hi everyone !

After these great holidays in Florida with Laurel & Jeremy, I took a plane to Paris in order to see Nico. He lived in Puteaux near the French capital !

This is the view from his living room

He asked me if I wanted to come with him for his motorcycle road trip across the France. I didn’t know the French countrysides and I love motorcycling so I jumped at the chance ! The aim is to have fun with the motorbike on the french Alpes roads and to enjoy the wonderful landscapes.

So, this morning, we geared up and left for an of adventure of 8 days.

That's me trying my helmet

The first part of this trip was to go to Donzy Le Nationale. I can hear you from here ! Where the hell is this ! It’s a small town in Bourgogne (Our first hostel is there).
We started from Puteaux in the Paris’ suburb. The first 100 Km were not so cool. To get out the Paris Region, we had to take highways (straight roads and many people…). But after that, we took only small roads ; winding country roads :) ! And that was great ! About 300 Km of turns in forests and the massif central (french montains).
We took some pauses because motoriding is very exhausting. There are many lakes in Bourgogne and that was nice to rest near by. We profited of a picnic area to eat some sandwiches.

After 470 Km, we arrived at our hostel and rest a little. We are about to go to Cluny (a larger city at 15 Km) to find a restaurant and spend the evening. Tomorrow, we’ll go to Thonon les bains and the Lac Léman at the Swiss border !
